Popeye Would Like This!

I have never really liked salads. I suspect Popeye didn't either. Too much chewing for too little fulfilling satisfaction. But, I need my veggies. Popeye had cold canned spinach. I hate canned spinach. Being forced to eat canned spinach in my youth almost put me off the power food for ever. Kale? Gag me with a spoon. Recently I bought an industrial grade masticating juicer. Masticating means it chews up the food for me. What could be better?

Popeye had to open cans of spinach (often under adverse circumstances) to gain instant strength to beat Bluto. All I have to do is plug in my Omega juicer and grind up a bag of chard, kale and spinach. I find it amazing I can squeeze a huge bag of leaves into almost a quart of concentrated deep green goodness. Now I can take a few shots a day, pretend it's absinthe, and drink my salad. Granted, I would have a hard time getting my greens during a fistfight to save Olive Oyl.
